As a place of pilgrimage, the Kreuzberg has a centuries-old tradition that earned it the nickname “Holy Mountain of the Franconians”. However, the construction of the Franciscan monastery did not begin until 1677. Actually, so the legend goes, it was supposed to be built in a completely different place, but the stones, which were brought to the intended place day after day, inexplicably found themselves on the Kreuzberg overnight. So the monastery was built on the Kreuzberg and completed in 1692. The monastery has had its own brewery since 1731. The famous Kreuzberg beer is brewed here.

Is available and is located next to the hotel car park . These are lockers including a charging station for the battery : However, these require that you can also remove the energy storage device from the bike. For more information please contact the reception.

In the Franziskusbau and Antoniusbau there is a TV room, these are at your disposal. Before leaving the TV room, Out of consideration for the environment, we would like to ask you to turn off the television.

You can also watch TV from Sunday to Thursday in the Franziskanerstube in the Elisäus.

Breakfast times are from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. You are allowed to have breakfast at the food counter and take a seat in the monastery gastronomy.

are very welcome, we charge € 15.00 per night (without food). Please note that pets are not allowed in the restaurant, there are separate seating areas. Please contact our staff.

are taken over by our Father Korbinian.

night entrance

The entrances to the monastery are locked after 8 p.m. You can use your room key to open the entrance in front of the Antoniussaal (see sign for the Antoniussaal entrance)

non-smokers

Our hotel is a non-smoking hotel. We will charge you a cleaning fee of €150.00 if you have smoked in your room. Smoking at the open window is also not permitted.

linen change

You will receive fresh linen every 4 days. If you would like a daily change of bed linen, please contact the reception. For this we charge a fee of € 10.00 per person and day.

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS

You can use the “Kreuzberg-Gast” network free of charge.
